Williams Field Wins Final NAU 7v7 Tournament; Pinnacle Wins Big Man Challenge

The final NAU 7v7 and Big Man Camp saw 32 teams gather in Flagstaff to compete.

Here are some of the players who stood out in the big man challenge on Saturday.

Red Mountain 2027 defensive lineman Leonidas To'oto'o

Leonidas To'oto'o is a recent 3-star Idaho commit and is one of the best speed rushers in Arizona.

At NAU Big Man Camp, he displayed an elite skill set.

His spin move is lethal, and he likes to mix it in with his swim moves as well.

He won almost every rep during the one-on-one portion and was overall dominant.

To'oto'o is a great player in the trenches for Red Mountain and will surely have a big senior campaign for the Mountain Lions.

Red Mountain 2029 defensive lineman Lyzander To'oto'o

Lyzander To'oto'o is the younger brother of Leonidas and has already proven he will be a top prospect in the 2029 class.

Even though they are brothers, Lyzander has a different skill set that he brings to the table.

He is one of the biggest and strongest players every time he steps on the gridiron.

His pure strength and chop move helped him win a majority of his reps at NAU Big Man Camp and showed he was clearly one of the best players at the camp.

Lyzander has also shown he can play interior offensive lineman and is an immovable object at that position.

Lyzander is going to be a name to keep an eye out for this season, as his stock and recruitment are due to blow up even more.

He already holds offers from NAU, Sacramento State, New Mexico and Arizona.

Chandler 2027 offensive lineman Sire Stewart

Stewart is a three-star Utah commit, as he has proven he is one of the best offensive linemen in Arizona.

During NAU Big Man Camp, Stewart was a clear top prospect.

Even though he stands at 6’5 his movement is fluid, and he can adjust on the fly and keep up with some of the faster defensive linemen.

That, paired with his hand placement and strength, makes him a legit threat at tackle.

Stewart will have a big role this season for Chandler's Open Division aspirations in 2026.

Arizona College Prep 2028 defensive lineman Enoch Adegoke

Adegoke is listed at 6’6 and is every bit of his size.

At NAU Big Man Camp on Saturday, Adegoke was able to showcase his length and speed.

Even though he is a taller player, his speed is one of the best aspects of his game.

He used both his length and speed to get around offensive linemen all day.

Adegoke is a rising junior, and don’t be surprised if he blows up in 2026 after a great season.

He currently holds an offer from NAU.

Pinnacle 2028 defensive lineman Ian Fullmer

Talk about a weekend for Fullmer.

On Friday during the NAU Mega Camp, he got the attention of multiple coaches and impressed throughout the day.

Fast forward to Saturday, and he helped Pinnacle win the entire big man competition.

He has some of the best technique for a pass rusher, as well as just flat out dominating whoever is in front of him.

Not only can he rush the passer, but he has shown flashes of being a great off-ball linebacker as well.

Fullmer is one of the best pass rushers Arizona has, and his recruitment will surely take off.

Due to his elite weekend up in Flagstaff, Fullmer received his first D-1 offer from NAU.

7v7 Bracket Play

Desert Mountain vs. Sunnyslope

During the semifinals, the reigning 5A champion Desert Mountain Wolves faced the Sunnyslope Vikings.

From the start of the game, it was all in favor of the Wolves.

On the opening drive, 2028 quarterback Jake Pilarcek lofted a pass to 2028 running back Easton Conner, who came down with the 50/50 ball for the score.

The Vikings were able to respond.

Their first drive of the game saw Sunnyslope 2029 quarterback Josh Arleth throw a touchdown pass in the middle of the end zone to put his team on the board.

Desert Mountain, however, proceeded to rattle off almost 30 unanswered points.

For a second straight drive, Pilarcek threw a touchdown pass.

This time, he was able to find 2029 wide receiver Hayes Simeonov for the touchdown.

The Wolves opted to go for a two-quarterback system, so after Pilarcek had two drives, they let Desert Mountain 2027 quarterback Rocco Madda get some reps.

Madda would pick up right where Pilarcek left off.

During his first drive, Madda got down the field in a hurry.

He would throw it to the sideline towards 2027 tight end Jaden Lindley, who made a remarkable catch to stay in bounds.

Capping off the drive, Madda would hit Simeonov for the touchdown.

The following drive, Simeonov would snag his third touchdown of the contest.

On a one-play drive, Madda launched a bomb to Simeonov, who was able to create separation with his speed and come down with the touchdown.

Desert Mountain proceeded to firmly put the game away.

Transferring in from Chaparral this offseason, 2027 defensive back Jett Archuleta has already made an impact.

Archuleta was able to come down with an interception near midfield and give his offense the ball back one last time.

For a final time in the game, the Wolves scored.

Pilarcek came back in the game and threw his third touchdown pass of the game to Desert Mountain 2027 running back Ryan Cratty.

Desert Mountain won convincingly 36-6 over Sunnyslope and headed to the championship round.

Williams Field vs. Desert Mountain

The championship game saw the Williams Field Blackhawks and the Desert Mountain Wolves battle it out in the NAU Skydome.

Desert Mountain started with the ball and carried the momentum they had against Sunnyslope into the championship round.

Staying on fire, Pilarcek threw a deep touchdown pass to Lindley, who found himself wide open near the end zone.

While Desert Mountain had a lot of momentum, so did Williams Field.

The Blackhawks lost their first pool play game, then proceeded to go on a six-game winning streak that landed them in the final game of the tournament.

They would be able to also score on their opening drive.

Williams Field 2027 quarterback Dominick Barjona marched his team down the field in a hurry.

Barjona then capped the drive off by throwing a touchdown strike in the middle of the end zone to Williams Field 2027 wide receiver Buddha Booker.

Not only did they score quickly, but the Blackhawks' defensive unit came through as well, as they got multiple stops to shut down the Wolves' momentum.

Williams Field then grabbed their first lead of the game.

Similar to the first drive, Barjona was able to methodically get the offense down the field.

Barjona then checked it down to his running back, who did the rest and scored the touchdown to give Williams Field a 14-7 lead with eight minutes left in the contest.

The Wolves weren’t out of the fight yet, though.

With time ticking down, Desert Mountain was able to put together another scoring drive.

Pilarcek threw a deep pass to Conner on a wheel route, and he came down with it for the touchdown.

Then, on the last play of the game, Desert Mountain was able to convert the PAT and tie the game at 14.

With the game tied at 14, it was headed to overtime.

At NAU, the overtime rules are as follows: Both teams get one play each, and the team that gains the most yards on the one play is determined as the winner.

Desert Mountain would get the one-play opportunity first.

Williams Field was able to shut them down and cover every receiver and force the Wolves to take a sack on the play.

The Blackhawks just needed one yard to win the whole tournament.

Barjona threw a short pass to Booker, and even though Booker was contested, he was still able to come away with the catch.

The successful catch gave Williams Field a 15-14 win over Desert Mountain.

For the final NAU summer camp, Williams Field was crowned the champions as they hoisted the Lumberjack axe.
