#31 ASU Sweeps New Mexico State, 7-0

TEMPE – The No. 31 Sun Devils (10-5, 3-2 Pac-12) came out hot and never let off the gas against non-conference foe New Mexico State (3-7) Wednesday afternoon, winning, 7-0, in dominant fashion in the final non-conference match of the season. The Sun Devils remain undefeated at home with the win and move to 7-0 in Tempe.


Doubles

Sammi Hampton & Marianna Argyrokastriti were the first pair off of the court, defeating New Mexico State's Gavino/Nguyen 6-0 on court 2. With Hattingh/John-Baptiste also leading 5-3, Turkovic/Kolarova clinched the doubles point for the Sun Devils, defeating the Aggies 6-2 on court 3.


Singles

ASU took a 2-0 lead before sinlges play started wthanks to New Mexico State's Lucija Josipovic withdrawing on court 6 before play started. Cali Jankowski was the first Sun Devils off the singles courts, Bella Nguyen 6-0, 6-0 on court 5. Hampton then clinched the match for the Sun Devils on court 3, winning 6-1, 6-2 over Chloe Gavino.

The Sun Devils will have nine days off before hosting the UCLA Bruins (10-3, 4-0) on Apr. 2 at 1:30pm MST.
